View a video memorial to my three-year-old son, David.
My inspiration comes from the mystical writings and teachings of the Bahá'í Faith. I have been a Bahá'í since 1963.
My early background included 15 years in the graphic arts industry in the San Francisco Bay Area. I was a part-time advertising agency photographer while my primary employment was in graphic arts, typography, and printing. My photography was licensed by greeting card and art objects companies and exhibited in several private galleries.
I entered the computer industry working successively for HP and Intel Corporations in Oregon and Microsoft in the Seattle area as a Senior Technical Writer and internal software tools developer. I wrote books for HP on photographic darkroom calculations and programmable timers. I received several awards and grants at Intel including their highest corporate award, the Intel Achievement Award (the first time a writer had ever received the award), and awards and grants from Microsoft for technical achievements.
I attended Bronx High School of Science in New York before moving to the San Francisco area where I lived for 16 years. I also lived in the Portland and Seattle areas. I recently relocated to Omaha with my German Shepherd Dogs, Magic and Jewel. My two sons, Nicholas and Benjamin are both computer professionals. I have driven a low emissions hybrid car since mid-2005.
